What are ShoutOuts and how can I use them to get more bookings?

ShoutOuts is a feature in Roomorama that allows Guest to post a generic inquiry regarding their accommodations needs in a specific destination or city. As a Host, you can use ShoutOuts to find guests that might be suitable for your property. 

To do this, Sign in to your Roomorama account and select "Manage Properties" from the username menu then click on "ShoutOuts".


  
This will take you to the ShoutOuts page. From here, you will be able to filter the inquiries by Property, and arrange the ShoutOuts by City, Check-in/out, Number of Guests, and Date posted.You have the option to add the dates or you just leave it blank for more results. Once you’ve selected the information, simply click on "Filter". Simply select a ShoutOut and click on "Make Offer".



Please note, the website will check the availability and maximum number of guest in your property listing and match it with the ShoutOut. If you did not meet any of those requirements, the website will not allow you to make an offer. To resolve this issue, simply update either the room availability or maximum number of guest in your property listing before you make an offer.   

If you meet all of the requirements, you will be redirected to the Make Offer page. Simply type in your message and select the property that you want to offer. Please make sure to check the following before clicking on "Make Offer"

- Room/property availability for the dates requested
- Room rates and other surcharges are correct and updated.




Please note, if you use ShoutOuts, you are sending back a confirm inquiry advising your guest that your property is available for the requested dates. Therefore, the guest will now have the option to complete the payment online based on the rates that you have confirmed.

You can retrieve your inquiry in your Host Dashboard then click on “Outstandingtab to view your Available inquiries. Inquiries generated from ShoutOuts will have a red speech bubble icon.

At this stage you are all set, just wait for the guest to reply to you or complete the booking!
